Known locally in Devon as Mr. Foale, countryman John begin his working life in farming, before becoming an accomplished agricultural engineer which subsequently became his profession.
Now retired, John spends his time restoring the rotten hulks of British farming history into iconic works of mechanical beauty.
When not covered in oil and located under a tractor, he is often to be found talking vintage tractors in his local pub – The Fisherman’s Rest in Aveton Gifford, South Devon.
